This is so cool! Your sister sounds AWESOME!!! and this post really reminds me of my little sister. She got a job several years ago working for an alternative school. She was a teacher's assistant to the kids that were in and out of "juvy" and their next step was jail. She taught children that were lost souls, who cut themselves and were neglected, misplaced and very troubled. and she loved them with every fiber of her being and they loved her! I could go on and on, but reading your post really touched me because I could have written a very similar post about Miss Colleen :)
Go Miss Jen for touching so many impressionable lives!!!

Jen sounds like one of those for whom teaching is a calling, not just a job. You know how we all have the one teacher we remember even many years later as making a real difference in our life? She is undoubtedly that teacher to many of the kids whose life she touches.

Sounds like she is an amazing person. My nephew has autism and I am so glad that there are people out there willing to show up and work with him every day with a smile on their face.

That made me tear up in my office- both the amazing job your sister is doing and your obvious pride in her. Congrats to her on the nomination, she may not need it, but it's wonderful to have such efforts recognized by others.

Your admiration of your sister is inspiring. It is a wonderful thing when sisters can publicly be proud of one another.
Tell your sister I said congrats on the nomination and I've heard some her stories and know how much she loves her job.
