I think there is also a distracted driving ordinance, not sure if it's city, state or county though. There has been discussion about banning texting while driving but it is not yet law. As for my thoughts on those laws? I think that if more people understood that it's not the best idea to multitask past your brain capacity (and that capacity is different for everyone) when driving, we wouldn't need laws to replace common sense.
