Ok this entry shall be short, as I’m exhausted and just want to get to bed. But my dearest darling sister did remind me that I hadn’t posted today, and far be it from me to not do something Jen says!

My desktop computer is back, though all the data is gone. I was able to save the important stuff, so I’m not too upset. It’s just a pain in the rear to deal with reloading everything. After XP and Office were reloaded, the computer refused to get an internet connection. Great. But I was so damn tired, I just let it go and came home. Our internet here took a dive (thus the reason for such a late post) so I spent an hour on the phone with AT&T getting my DSL modem reset. The charming young man at AT&T got pretty frustrated with me, since I was smarter than he was. Like it’s my fault that he’s slow. I even told him at the beginning of the call that I was pretty geeky and it would be fairly fast. I understand he has to follow his script, but come on. When I say I’m already at the command prompt, do you really need to say "Ok press Start, then click Run, then type cmd and a black window will pop up. Do you have a black window?" Um yeah. I’ve had it for a while, like I TOLD YOU.

Anyhow, that got all worked out, an then Brian helped me get the router all happy and functional (networking is not at all something I understand. I’m geeky in other areas). So yay! A new post to make Jen happy, a functioning wireless network to make Jas happy, and a warm bed to crawl in to make me happy. Goodnight!
