Ok so Day Two of NaBloPoMo and I’m already out of things to say. Excellent! I would love love LOVE to talk about things at work, but I have made a vow not to do so, as I love my job and do not want to get fired for posting about The Stupids online. So let me just tell you that major Stupidness happened this week, and you can use your imaginations to create something you find amusing. Or you can e-mail me, and I’ll tell you, if it’s that important. Unless you are of The Big Three that I e-mail daily. You already know.
In other more boring news, my virus laden computer is up and running! Infected to the gills with all kinds of Trojans and spyware (that really seem to keep multiplying), but at least it’s up!My data has been saved! Now all I have to do is clean the little buggers off my computer, and the world will be right once again. Someone very very smart programmed this little Trojan bomb, as it not only infects everything it touches, it blocks any and all downloads of virus scanning software that might come to kill it. Great. I managed to trick it into accepting HouseCall this morning, and was shocked to find all sorts of evil virus creatures running around my drive. HouseCall supposedly got all of them, but after running a second scan, it came to light that HouseCall lied. Or the viruses are smarter than the software. Or both. So I’ve spent 90% of my day fighting to get rid of them, to no avail. The guru himself, Brian, is here now trying things that are just above my level of Geek. We were both here until 10:30 last night working on this, and it appears tonight is going to be another late night.
Have I mentioned how much I hate myself for letting this happen in the first place?
And, for those wondering, Jas and I had the Baby Talk on Tuesday. You should note my lack of posting on the subject since then, and guess that it probably did not go well. I’ll write more about it some time soon. Right now, it still makes me cry.
